Suggest Treatment For Itching In The Vagina Caused By A Yeast Infection

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Aug 2016
Question: I think I have a vaginal yeast infection. I have some external itching and irritation.
I tried Monistat 3 (I only used one cream applicator, because it made me itchy a lot and even burned for hours after I took it. What should I do now? I would like to feel better and cure this infection. I would need some medicine, pill or itch relief cream that I can buy easily in a Pharmacy.
Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Precautions advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, I understand your health issue.
It is most probably due to yeast infection only, so take a note of the following -
- wear a cotton based underwear and change it daily
- put tablet clotrimazole 100 mg inside your vagina daily at night for 6 nights it's like monistat but less allergenic
- wash perineal region with vWash liquid after bath
- use condom while having sex
- apply candid - B ointment twice a day for 7 days or till itching persists
- get your blood sugar levels checked
In case itching and swelling persists or worsens then visit your gynecologist for examination.
In clotrimozole pessary also itches then instead take one tablet of fluconazole 150 mg (just one time intake) and see the response.
All the best.

Today its my third and last application of Clotrinazole 3 Day Treatment (cream) and I don't feel better. The yeast infection ia still there. What should I do? I'm from Argentina and I live now in USA. I couldn't find an appointment with a doctor yet. What should I do now? Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Visit your gynecologist

Detailed Answer:
Have you inserted the pessary inside vagina?
or just cream application?
Only cream will not give relief and mostly examination of the private parts is required before starting the treatment.
Do take pessaries if you haven't and try to get an appointment at the earliest
