Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I would like to ask you few questions :
Whether the itching is associated with any rash?
Is there any history of change of deodorant?
Do you have excessive sweating in the underarms?
Also upload a picture of your armpits for better diagnosis of the condition.
I would also like to mention that not removing armpit hair is usually not associated with itching.

Yes, there are rashes, not redness but rupture of skin is there because it is irritating when washes with soap.
I started using hair removing creams and deodorant from early age I.e. 16 and 17. Due to this my underarms got darken. So I left using both from last year. Now I don't use any deodorant, and use wax for hair removing. I wash my underarms 3 times a day with water.
I don't have excessive sweating. It is normal.but when I feel numbness in underarms due to sweating it starts itching.
Is it a serious issue Doctor? I have just neglected it for years. Should i go to specialist.
I used borolene antiseptic cream for some days. It was relieving to some extent.

Hi

Detailed Answer:
Hi!! you don't have to worry about it too much as it is not a serious problem. Sweating does lead to itching in a number of individuals.
You can use a mometasone clotrimazole combination cream on the affected area twice daily for around 2 weeks along with an antifungal powder. This will surely help you.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Thank you doctor.

Can I use it every time when armpit itching occures?
Please suggest me antifungal powder and daily wash for cleaning armpits.
I am using 'clean and dry' wash for armpits and vagina, is it OK?
I have darken armpits, please suggest any remedy or treatment for it. Is there any remedy to bring it back to normal or only surgery would work?
Is it advisable to use deodorant?
Also is it advisable to use hair removing creams and razors?

Brief Answer:
Hi!!

Detailed Answer:
You should go for cream formulation and apply it regularly for 2 weeks.
As far as powder is concerned buy onecan dusting powder and use it regularly twice or thrice in a day. You can continue with the clean and dry wash for armpits and vagina but make sure you dry your armpits completely after bath and then wear clothes.
Dark armpits are usually seen in people who are obese, diabetic, having thyroid disorders or insulin resistance. You should first get your thyroid function tests, fasting blood sugar test and fasting insulin levels. Treatment will depend on the outcome of these tests.
You should avoid using deodorant and hair removing creams at present as the skin is already irritable. Once your condition subsides you can use them. Razors and waxing can both be done. Frequency of waxing depends on the rate of hair growth. Usually it is done after intervals of 4-5 weeks.
I hope to have answered all your queries.
Wish you good luck.
