Suggest Treatment For Irritation In The Throat And Acid Reflux

Question: I am on meds for acid reflux and don't seem to have a problem with it most of the time. Last night I woke up to my throat on fire and finally throwing up 3-4 times. Took several hours for burning to cease & throat still sore. I find drinking cold milk & a banana seem to help some so was thinking about a milkshake but reading it says no. What can I do to make this burning go away?
