Suggest Treatment For Irregular Heart Beats

Question: I am experiencing irregular heart beats, it feels like skipped heart beats. I am taking 25 mg. atenolol for blood pressure but my heart rate is around 44bpm to 52 ppm. I experience stress from this and my blood pressure go up to around 168 /85 . do I take the atenolol still?

But, your actual heart rate values are a little low.

Anyway the dose of atenolol that you are taking is low too.

Do you have any complaints like fatigue or fainting?

If you don't have any of these complaints, I would recommend continue taking atenolol.

Otherwise, you should discuss with your doctor on the possibility of reducing gradually the dose of atenolol.
