Suggest Treatment For Internal Hemorrhoids

default
Posted on Wed, 1 Mar 2017
Question: Hello once again Doctor, two days back I consulted the doctor who did my fistulectomy and after examining the surgery site and a proctoscopy he confirmed that my scar is fully healed and it does not take such a long time for a scar to heal. Through proctoscopy he confirmed that I have internal haemorrhoids and since there is no bleeding we will not do any treatment for it.
Although he has confirmed that my scar has healed and maybe it is haemorrhoids that are keeping in discomfort , I can feel that it is my scar only that is paining and is hard. I can feel it by touching at the site. Please share your thoughts.
Also the Doctor has asked me to stop lactihep and started isabgol. But after stopping lactihep I am having hard stool. I was taking 10ml in morning and 10 ml in night. Please suggest .
Also he has prescribed me loxgelly to apply thrice in a day. After applying loxgelly there is a substantial relief in the pain and hardness. Please suggest is it safe to use loxgelly thrice in a day and for longer periods.

Brief Answer:
as explained in details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your consultation with the Surgeon who performed fistulectomy and noted his finding.
Yes, internal hemorrhoids usually do not cause any symptoms as you have pointed so well.
If the scar is tender and is hard as per your finding, then it is going into a stage of hypertrophy as is known to occur in any scar and in any patient.
It is good that Lox jelly is helping you, please continue as advised, will not cause any harm even in long term.
If stopping Lactihep and starting Isabgol is causing constipation, revert back to Lactihep as before, constipation has to be avoided.
Take care.
Continue rest of the medications as before.
