default
Posted on Wed, 7 Oct 2015
Question: Been having some intense pains in my right side upper flank is what they call it & my lower back on the same side has been looking me. Had a kidney stone two months ago. Could it be possible I have more or it's blocked? I've been going a lot & notice it's cloudy when I use it. My ribs on the same side hurt like hell & are tender to touch. What could be going on?

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Thanks for the query.

Yes, Kidney stones usually present with pain in the lower back on one side which may radiate to the groin in the front. There may be severe pain, fever and burning micturition.

Drink 2 litres of water daily. Take Syrup Alkaline citrate 2 teaspoons thrice a day, East plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Avoid meat, smoking and alcohol. Drink 2 glasses of Cranberry juice daily.

The stone if small, can pass through the urine but it is best to get an Xray and ultrasound done to find the presence of stone and it's size because some songs may not dissolve, owing to their composition and size.

Take pain killer like Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for a couple of days.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
