Brief Answer: please write in detail about your problem Detailed Answer: Hello Insomnia in itself is a symptom, not the disease. We have try to find what is the reason for insomnia. Depression, Anxiety, Pains in body, UTI, Cardiac Problem, Drug Abuse, and some brain tumours can cause insomnia. It is important you get a CT Scan head, Screen through Hamilton's Anxiety and Depression Rating Scale, and see if you have any other physical problem. If there is none of them, then there are medicines acting directly on sleep centre in brain like Ramelteon that can be tried. Sleep hygiene is a must . You can down load detailed information regarding sleep hygiene from net. Please write about yourself and problem in detail so that I can decide how to help. Dr Saatiish Jhuntrraa
