Posted on Mon, 21 Apr 2014
Question: I use a depilatory on my face to get rid of facial hair. It is now leaving me with terrible ingrown hairs, some very deep and beneath the skin. What can I do to stop this from happening? It is causing scars on my face

Brief Answer: details below Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing to us. I guess the ingrown hair are causing small elevated bumps which heal with marks and scars. To treat the same, I would advise clindamycin or nadifloxacin gel in morning and adapalene gel in night. Also you should avoid this particular mode of hair reduction. Instead go with laser hair reduction. If possible attach an image of your face showing these lesions, so that I can clarify further. Take care
