Brief Answer:
It is normal and she might have cough too

Detailed Answer:
Hi... influenza is a viral illness and it is common for viral illnesses to have fever of 5-7 days duration.

I will explain you how a viral illness behaves so that you can be more confident.

Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.

Usually flu virus may cause intense cough while fever is remitting.

Brief Answer:
It may take a day or 2 for the fever to settle

Detailed Answer:
Hi.. It may take a day or 2 for the fever to completely settle and cough may persist for another week or 10 days. But if the kid is having breathlessness or fast breathing or inability to feed then you need to take her to a physician or pediatrician.
