Question: i have an inflamed nostril . i have been prescribed cefdinir as also signoflam . why signoflam ? lot more effective anti informatory and specific pain relief tabs in market.

I have read your query, reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

Signoflam contain aceclofenac 100 mg for inflammation, paracetamol 500 mg for pain & fever, serratiopeptidase 15 mg is a proteolytic enzyme, a powerful anti-inflammatory. It is also used for rheumatoid pain. If you have inflammation with purulent nasal discharge then it will give you early relief. This might be reason, your doctor prescribed signoflam.

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice to
continue cefdinir,
combination of Paracetemol + Ibuprofen for inflammation with pain after meal & if cold is also present use Antihistamines like levocetirizine.

Ibuprofen is good antiinflammatory & Paracetemol for analgesia.
