Brief Answer:
Surgery can be undertaken after the medical fitness.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for choosing HCM for your query.
I appreciate your concern for your father.
The surgery for the hydrocele can be undertaken if the diabetes is under the control (normal blood glucose), normal renal function tests, etc.
Beside a mandatory medical fitness from the physician including ECG, Chest Xray, etc should be done before the surgery to rule out any associated problem.

Wishing your father a successful surgery and smooth recovery from the procedure.
Best regards.

Dear sir,
thanks for you reply. I would like to know few more things about this surgery.

1) What would be the normal range of diabetes if I go for surgery.
2) After surgery any harm or impact will come on helath or not
3) Any side effects if done surgery in this age with diabetes.

Brief Answer:
The diabetes should be well controlled.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, Hi

1) The fasting blood glucose should be with in the range of 90-120 mg/ dL
2) General risks (commonly applied to all surgical procedures)
Anesthesia: Allergic reactions & breathing problems
Surgery: Bleeding, infection, blood clots

Patients usually recover quickly. Most can go home a few hours after surgery.
The success rate for hydrocele repair is very high, another hydrocele may form over time (rarely) or if there was also a hernia present
3) If diabetes is well controlled the risks of infection and delayed wound healing is almost nil.

Hope your doubts are being answered.
Kindly rate the answer, if you are convinced.

Wishing you best of your health.
