I had to go back to the ER yesterday because I woke up with eyes swollen shut. They put me on an IV and gave me more stronger steroids and Benadryl for the rash and swelling and Zantac for nausea and fluids for dehydration. The swelling went down a lot. They prescribed me stronger Prednisone (40 mg x2 @day for 14 days) and Certrizine HCL (10 mg 1 @ day) and Hydroxyzine HCL (50 mg 1 x3@day) and Ranitidine (150 mg 1 tablet 2x@day). They said I could use OTC topical Benadryl spray and OTC allergy eye drops.
They diagnosed me with "PITYRIASIS ROSEA-LIKE SKIN ERUPTION [R21]. Are you familiar with this virus? They said it could last 4-8 weeks.
