Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in Healthcaremagic.com.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

I understand your concern.
For arthritic hip and associated sciatica pain, medications and exercise alongwith some restrictions are the best combination of treatment. In such patients, I generally advise the following-

Regular and appropriate exercises preferably with the guidance of a physiotherapist.
Hot dry local compression.
Avoiding sudden forward bending and heavy weight lifting, squatting etc.
Painkillers like tramadol-paracetamol or aceclofenac, ibuprofen etc alongwith antacids.
Pregabalin-mecobalamin combination for 1-2 months for sciatica pain.

You can consult your treating or family doctor and get the medicines prescribed and take help of a physiotherapist. Also go for regular follow-ups, preferably 2-3 monthly. You can also send me the Xray plates for further advice.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
