Question: My four year old daughter has a fever 104 and left hip pain? what could it be?

I have gone through the details carefully and understand your concern for your daughter. Most often such symptoms are due to viral infections and antibiotics are ineffective in such cases. Irrespective of treatment it usually spontaneously resolves in 5-7 days.

Since she has a fever with temperature more than 100°F, you need to give her Paracetamol or Acetaminophen (P-250, Crocin or Tylenol) to it bring down. Malaise can be present and that could explain the pain in hip(s). Also, please use tepid sponging.
