Question: i HAVE A FLUSHED FACE AND JUST TOOK MY BP. IT WAS 174/98. wHAT IW THE ANTIHYPERSIVE OF CHOICE? Sorry I had caps on, and typos. anti-hypertensive.. well you know.

I will suggest the following drugs for seven days if i am your physician..

1) Tab.clonidine 150 mg (AF) 1-0-0(no prior rapid acting steroid administration)
2) Tab.Furosemide 20mg 0-1-0 (AF)
3) Tab.Planep 50mg 0-0-1 (AF)

PS: AF----> After food

Review and drug alteration can be decided based on your response..

All these are prescription drugs and should be taken under a local clinician's supervision.
