Brief Answer:
Please tell me details about your condition

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for your query at HealthcareMagic.

Please give me details on the current BP readings, medicines you are taking, any tests that you have taken to find cause, etc.

If the high blood pressure is due to some other condition like kidney condition, etc then taking care of the condition will control the BP. But if it is idiopathic (no cause found) then BP medicines are required to control it.

If you have not already been tested for these conditions, then please consult a cardiologist and get the relevant tests done under his guidance.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I have undergone tests earlier couple of times and understand from cardiologist that it is due to anxity.

Now I am using Telma AM 40 in the night, some times Prolomite xl 25 in the morning.

Generally BP readings are in the range of 120 to 140 / 80 to 90.

Brief Answer:
Lifestyle changes will help you most

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.

I am assuming that your cardiologist ran all relevant tests. Your BP is controlled well with medicines.

If it is due to anxiety or it has no cause then I will suggest the following lifestyle measures. These will help you most. It consists of adequate diet, exercise and deal better with stress.

In diet, please avoid salty, sugary and oily foods. Avoid high calorie foods like milk products (cheese, butter, ghee, sweets, etc). Take more of fruits and salad upto five times a day.

In exercise, a 30 min daily routine is needed. It can include walk, yoga, gym, swimming, cycling, etc.

To lower the stress, you can try yoga along with breathing techniques (called as kriya). These are very effective. Yog nidra is also good to get some relaxation and can be done in office as well.

Hope it helps.
