Suggest Treatment For High Blood Pressure And Abnormal Retinal Test Result

Question: I have just received a routine eye test and the optometrist took retinal pictures which he said were abnormal. He has booked me in for a visual field test which i have done before with no abnormalities. I wear glasses for long distance -0.5 right and -0.25 left and have -0.75 cyl in both eyes. Other than that i just take medication for high blood pressure which is well controlled. I am just curious as to what he meant as he did not go in to much detail. I am 34 male

My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.

The discs are pale,that is the reason you should be investigated. After the field test,you can have a neurologist opinion and if necessary can have a mri to find out a reason for pallor of disc. This needs looking into.
