Brief Answer:
Other drugs are needed....

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

At this point, as you are not able to control your bp well, I suggest to start:
- beta-blocker
- diuretic
- calcium-blocker (if no improvement)

drugs along with Diovan to stabilize your high blood pressure.

You can discuss with your cardiologist about these options to start immediate treatment.

I want to remind to conduct a healthy lifestyle and diet regimen along with medications.

Hope it was of help! Let me know if I can assist you further!

Dr. Benard,

alow me to give you some more info.. I'm 6' tall weight 203.. I'm a trucker / owner operator.. So I'm fairly active.. I walk, throw straps and chains to secure loads.. Now I am feeling more tired and loss of energy..
I was prescribed Lisinopril 40mg daily.. I have taken as much as 80 mg and it had no effect on my B/P
I also have a script for Furosemide 40mg.. I don't take them daily if I'm on the truck , because for having to pull over every fifteen minutes.. I'm not a coffee drinker.. I don't drink beer or the hard stuff.. I do have a lot of stress on me that at the current time I can't get it off.. Mostly financial ... a lot of past due medical bills and No Insurance..

Brief Answer:
Other medications should be started to lower bp...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

At this point, I advise to start:
- a beta-blocker (e.g. atenolol)
- and a calcium-blocker (e.g. amlodipine)

You can discuss these options further with your doctor to start treatment as soon as possible. They will not interfere with your daily activities.

You are feeling tired due to furosemide use (loss of electrolytes and liquids). That's why I am giving the above-mentioned options to lower your blood pressure.

If still no improvement, you can shift from furosemide to hydrochlorothiazide as it has less side effects as compared to furosemide.

Hope it was of help! Let me know if I can assist you further!
