Detailed answer
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and would like to tell you that answer to your question is not simple and straightforward.
First of all you should understand that there are 6 types of strains of virus which require different combination of anti viral medicines.
Other factors to be looked into are:-
-How much virus you have in your body
-How much damaged your liver is
-Any other co existing medical or health conditions etc.

In general treatment is done by a combination of:-

Pegylated interferon and RIBAVIRINE.
These days a newer medicine called as SOFOSBUVIR or SIMEPREVIR is also added as third medicine to this regime.

Alternatively a combination of newer anti viral medicines like:-
SIMEPREVIR
DACLATASVIR
SPFOSBUVIR
RITONAVIR  etc may also be used.
Treatment is generally done for 1 to 4 years.
Treating doctor knows the best combination to use in a person and is so best left for him.
I hope this helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
