Question: Hi i had a blood test few days ago.... within 24 hours there was some bruising which has grown during the 2 days time. I have attached both the pictures. Is there anything to be worried of? There is no pain but just that the bruise is increasing now.

Brief Answer:
It seems a hematoma

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query on healthcaremagic.

I have seen the photos. You seem to have developed a hematoma. Hematoma after needle injury is a common phenomenon. But in your case the hematoma is increasing that warrants coagulation screen to check for bleeding and clotting disorders. The tests will determine if there is any need for treatment of such disorders

This hematoma will resolve on its own and nothing to worry. Most bleeds stop on their own. If it does not then please see a surgeon and a hematologist.

Hope it helps.
