Suggest Treatment For Headaches, Sinus Pressure And Fever

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Jun 2015
Question: Hi, I for the last 8 days I have been experiencing mild to moderate headache, sinus pressure, low grade fever, and fatigue. I feel fine when I wake in the morning but by noon or 1pm I begin to feel all of the above symptoms. If I nap in the afternoon I may feel fine again for a few hours but the symptoms return. Not sure if I should see a doctor...need some guidance. I do have mild mold allergies and take Nasacort daily for those symptoms. No confirmation from a doctor but I am pretty sure I am peri-menopausal.

Brief Answer:
This could be a sinus infection or inflammation

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am
I had gone through your question very diligently and I can understand your concern

Progressive intensifying headache as the day advances could be suggestive of sinus infection or vascular headache

I would like further information to help you better as
Do you experience Nausea, vomiting or vision problem during such attacks
Is it occurring on specific time in a day?

Your age is approaching near menopause which can't conformed by age only.
In my opinion you should see a doctor preferably ENT specialist for examination and battery of tests like X ray PNS and blood profile as hemoglobin and CBC
If it's a chronic disorder than you may require a FESS (functional endoscopic sinus surgery) or a course of antibiotics
Meanwhile please follow these guidelines until you see a doctor
Steam inhalation
You should take ibuprofen for headache
Deep breathing and relaxation exercises
Anti allergic nasal spray like azelastine thrice a day
Avoid ice creams and cold drinks

Hope this answers your question, please feel free to ask for more clarification I will be happy to help you
Best wishes
