Detailed Answer:
Welcome at HCM...
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns...
Have you taken any painkillers ( oral or injectables)? How you get injury? Can you tell me mechanism of injury? Have you done MRI ?
Since hamstring injuries are common. The first and foremost thing for you right at this time, is to give rest to your affected leg along with elevation. You can just put a pillow under your foot. The pain, which varies and depends upon the severity of injury can be treated with painkillers and muscle relaxants.
Yes definitely you should Visit ER or your local doctor. So that appropriate medicines can be prescribed.
Don't try to move your limb excessively or unnecessarily. And meet your orthopedic surgeon, so that extent of injury can be elicited.
The swelling most probably is due to inflammatory fluid, it will settle with limb elevation and painkillers that will be prescribed to you. In the meanwhile rest the limb as described earlier. Use over the counter pain medications.

Avoid any physiotherapy and exercises until and unless you are being seen by orthopedic surgeon. He will advise you when to start and how much you have to put strain on your muscle...
Take rest and may you get well soon.
