Q. Do you have any flakes or dandruff coming from scalp?
Yes doctor
Q. Is there any redness or silvery appearance on scalp?
Not sure Silvery but white
Q. Any localized hair loss and balding in some areas?

Brief Answer:
Most likely androgenetic alopecia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for your follow up.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to androgenetic alopecia also known as male pattern hair loss. Fungal infection can coexist along with dandruff also.

Minoxidil for local application is the treatment of choice which is FDA approved for male pattern hair loss. You can apply this once or twice daily.

You should also use medicated shampoos containing ketoconazole which has dual effect, as antifungal and for androgenetic alopecia - against testosterone action locally.

You can also use hair grow supplements containing biotin, amino acids , other essential vitamins and minerals like follihair.

You can also take androanagen which contain soy palmetto as active ingredient which helps for androgenetic alopecia after consulting a dermatologist.

Check your vitamin D levels and if it is low vitamin D supplements should be taken also.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
