Question: Hi Doctor,
I am a Male 25 Years age living in XXXXXXX Guj, XXXXXXX Since a couple of months I am facing the issue of hair loss. The reason seems to be the changed water quality (at my new home) - the water is much more hard than it was previously. kindly suggest some remdy for this.

1) Androgenetic alopecia- characterised by recession of hair line from mainly frontotemporal region.
It is due to male hormones like Di hydro testosterone and testosterone.
In such cases, topical minoxidil is the treatment of choice.
2) Diffuse telogen effluvium- it is characterised by diffuse hair loss. It may be due to various reasons like anaemia, thyroid dysfunction, nutritional deficiency, stress, change in environmental factor.
If appropriate cause Is found, specific treatment is started.
Else tablets containing mainly Biotin, Calcium pantothenate, selenium as main component is started in both types of hair loss.
Besides this, Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is the latest treatment modality being proven helpful in all types of hair loss.
I will advise you to visit your doctor so that he can examine you and do hair analyser test.
