Thank you for writing on health care magic

Well, gout attack normally does not last more than a couple of days. I am not sure how long the duration has been for you...But it does go off soon.

Advil should work. Plus you start on Tablet Zycolchine 0.5 mg once daily as well.. Keep control on your diet for now...

I would like to know a few more details:

1. which joint is currently affected

2. What has been the duration of it?

3. Reason for one kidney??

Do let me know these queries. WOuld guide you further from here

Good evening

Well, if advil is still not working, I would suggest we step up the medicines.

1. Firstly Zycolchine should be started as it is an anti inflammatory as well. It would help reduce the inflammation. It has to be continued for a months time and then switch it off

2. If is doesnt work , you may need a short course of steroids( for a week or so) which would be our 2nd step.

3. As for the drugs to lower uric acid, I wont recommend starting now as you have an acute attack and it can get worsen. Plus one needs to have more than 3-4 attacks /year to be starting on the medicine. So that one we can defer

you can consult your Physician and ask him to step up to the next line as 4 days is a relatively long time for gout to go on

Hope the information was useful
