Suggest Treatment For Gluteal Abscess
Question: Kindly confirm in below case weather the illness was due to injury.
34 yrs old male patient, c/o Gluteal abscess, as per received Medical certificate from treating doctor there was H/o blunt injury to gluteal region leads to Gluteal Abscess. his bike went through a pot hole where he had a forceful fall on his 2 wheeler seat. Because of which he had a small pustule and had pain. he was seen by a local Doctor and did not subside and was referred to another doctor and there was pus discharge. he went I & D for same.

Not necessarily the gluteal abscess was due to forceful fall on to seat. In other words it is hard to ascribe forceful fall as the sole cause of gluteal abscess unless it lead to an open wound. The abscess could have happened otherwise as well.
