Question: I was diagnosed with genital warts yesterday. I'm having them removed in Tuesday. Will I have HPV forever? Will I always be contagious?

Brief Answer:
You will not always be contagious!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this. At times, the body spontaneously clears off the infection. However, this is not always the case. However, unless you have active lesions, there is no reason to think you would be contagious. Be calm and all shall be okay. Keep me updated on how this unfolds.

In all, you shall not be contagious for live except new lesions show up.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
