Brief Answer:
Surgery is the only option..

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir , greetings from HCM ..

I understand your question ...

As for as 9 mm gal stone is concerned surgery or laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the only option ... But it should be done by keeping her sugar and blood pressure in control....

Meet your gastro surgeon ... Check fasting/ post prandial sugar, HbA1c, lipid profile, thyroid hormone profile , microalbuminuria done .. Later we can plan how to move about .. Regarding prevention of further stones or increase in size .. She need to take strains (Tab. Avas ) depending on the lipid profile results .... Take more of fiber rich diet .. Like oats, green leafy vegetables, fruit s avoid processed / fast / fried foodstuffs .. Ask her to reduce weight walk at last an hour a day .. And that will keep the sugar and cholesterol levels in check ..

Feel free to ask more questions .. And thank you ..
