1. What kind of rash is it?
2. How can it happen?
3. Is it some kind of STD?

I had sexual encounters with CSWs 4 months and 8 months before. I tested HIV antibody test last week and report was negative. (Report attached).
Is it final result? Shall I consider it conclusive?

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection of the area. No STDs. Relax.

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,

Welcome again to the forum and thanks for uploading all the details and pictures.

Let me first and foremost reassure you that the condition is not at all a STD. SO relax your mind from the same.

After analyzing your pictures with diligence I can make out that you are suffering from fungal infection of the area. As per the small lesions it appears that it must be from less than a week period.

Fungal infections are common type of infections which can affect anybody at any site, so do not correlate it with any type of STDs. It more commonly it affects the areas which are more prone for sweating or moist areas (as in your case). More specifically these are related to the hygiene and environmental factors.

Due to hot and humid climate or due to tight and synthetic clothing, it leads to growth of fungus at any part of the body. Additionally persons who have bit excess of sugar are also prone for the growth of fungus. So you got the answer how it happens!!

For the betterment kindly follow the suggestion below:

- Keep your self away from hot and humid climate.

- Take two times bath.

- Wear cotton clothes and cotton undergarments to be changed two times a day. Do not wear any synthetic or tight garments.

- Do cold compression or warm water compresses according to the weather condition.

- Do not sit continuously for long hours.

- If I were your treating dermatologist then would have suggested to apply plane anti-fungal creams such as “Clotrimazole” or “Ketoconazole” or "Sertaconazole" or "Amorolfine " and take anti-fungal tablets according to medical advice.

- If I were your treating dermatologist then would have suggested to take oral anti histamine like loratadine or levocetrizine two times a day under medial advise if ther is moderate to severe itching is present.

-Don't try to scratch or rub the area as can lead to further aggravation of the problem.

- You can use any good antiperspirant powders daily to avoid future infection.

- Reduce your weight if it is on higher side.

Now for the part of HIV report: As I guided you before that there are no chances of HIV in your case and so do the report tells us. As it is done after 4 months of intercourse so it is totally valid to say that you completely free from HIV and there are no doubts about it.

I hope these information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

"Wish you good health and early recovery from the problem"

Thanks a lot sir for your comprehensive answer.
I have candid powder and itch guard cream with me. How to use them. Shall I use itch guard first and then the candid powder? Both have clotrimazole content.

Brief Answer:
A pea size amount is sufficient for palm size area

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,

The Candid powder is quite alright but itchguard cream contains steroid and mixture of other compounds. So preferably search for a plane antifungal such as clotrimazole alone.

If nothing is available then you can use teh in hand cream in thinnest possible amount at night time. A pea size amount is sufficient for palm size area. Do not over apply. If you will maintain good hygiene then would be alright. But in case if you find that the area is not getting better then as soon as you visit XXXXXXX then can take a proper antifungal treatment.

You can use the powder for 3-4 times very lightly and gently over the affected areas.

My all best wishes for your good health.

With regards,

Dr Sanjay

Brief Answer:
No relationship with any type of HPV.

Detailed Answer:
Hello young man,

I reassure you fully that it has got no relationship with any type of STDs including HPV.

So just relax for any type of viral infection like warts or HPV. This must be present within few days and such kind of picture is never seen in HPV. Even if we had thought of HPV then to involve such extent of area in HPV would require many months.

Tell me exactly how long you have these lesions....must be within few days only!!!

SO just relax and have sweet dreams...without HPV!!!

My all best wishes for your good health.

With regards,

Dr Sanjay
