Question: Hi... I have developed white patches on the penis head. These white patches are not painful. My doctor told me its a fungal infection and should use Candid B ointment. Have been applying the cream regularly for the past three weeks twice a day, still there is no improvement and the white patches remain as it is. Kindly advice...

Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
You seem to have developed a fungal infection and have been prescribed antifungal combination cream .
But since you are not getting the desired relief ,I would like to have a look at the exact skin condition.

Brief Answer:
See a nearby dermatologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I have seen the attached pictures .
On first appearance, the lesions surely look like a fungal skin infection .But treatment with candid b cream for three weeks should have surely healed it ,if it was a fungal infection .
In my viewpoint, you should see a nearby dermatologist so that a proper examination of the area with a magnifying lens can be done . The lesions looks like an autoimmune condition to me like granuloma annular or lichen planus . Alrhough none of these conditions are dangerous ,but they need long term treatment ,hence verification of the diagnosis by a closer check up of the affected area is very essential.
