Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infection On Clitoris
Question: I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and found out A week ago the I have a uti, my doctor put me on antibiotics for it then about 3 days ago I noticed white junk around my clitoris area and when I push the skin back some is in it too. At first I thought it might have been from cheap toilet paper then I realized it was skin peeling I removed it later that day it began to it h terribly and the next day the same thing. It is becoming very irritating. I thought it might have something to do with the uti but I'm not sure. Any advice?
Brief Answer:
Unlikely related to UTI
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.
Such a symptom can not be attributed to UTI.
This commonly occur from causes like allergic/contact dermatitis, superficial fungal infection etc.
Right now,you can apply some soothing agents like calamine on the skin area(avoid contact with mucosa). Also use antihistamines like Levocetirezine 5mg once daily, preferably bed time(it is safe in pregnancy) for 5-7 days.Note that,Levocetirezine can cause some sedation.
If the itching and skin peeling comes down, you can discontinue the treatment after 5-7 days.Otherwise, kindly see your doctor,to look for cause like fungal infection.
Hope this will answer your query.
Wishing for a faster cure.
Thank you.
