Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infection In Nail

Question: my finger nails are rotting away , i have tried fungus nail healer with no results, could this be something other then nail fungus.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If is possible that it is a fungal infection. Fungal infections involving the nail bed need to be treated with oral medication, they do not respond to topical treatment only.

You would need an oral anti fungal agent such as lamisil, sporanox, griseofulvin. The cream can be used along with the topical agent but once nail beds (or the scalp) is involved in fungal infection, oral meds must be used.

Treatment may sometimes need to be continued for up to three months for nail fungal infections.
In some cases, only up to 6 weeks is needed.
