Brief Answer:
it's probably diabetes...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

unless it's a false reading, you've got diabetes mellitus and zantac is unlikely to be the cause. Zantac is not supposed to cause significant hyperglycemia (there is no such indication on the official summary of product characteristics) and although there are some very small studies that found glucose increases in patients taking intravenous ranitidine, this high reading so very unlikely to be caused by a drug only. Double check the reading with a laboratory just to be sure and measure your glucosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c). If your HbA1c is high (and will probably be high) then it's uncontrolled diabetes and you will have to be treated for it. If you have first degree relatives with type 2 diabetes then your risk for diabetes rises even more. A father and a mother with type 2 diabetes increase their childrens' risk for type 2 diabetes by approximately 50%.

If you've already done the tests, please upload the results.

Kind Regards!
