Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination And Pain During Urination
Question: iam having problem urinating, last tuesday had to go to er, put a cat to relieve bladder, it was removed wendsday and was giving an tiabiotics and flomax .4mg and i am still waiting for a referal to see a specialists, is there anything over the shelf i can take to relieve the urgency and pain. the antiobiotic is ciprofloxacn 500 mg blood work show inflamation of prostate

1) Do you have fever with chills?
2) Do you have pain in perineal region or rectum?
3) Did you have increased frequency,poor stream,nocturnal frequency preceding over a period of last few months before you got acute retention of urine.?
The retention of urine that you had is mostly either due to Acute Prostatitis or Enlarged Prostate .
Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic test done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Routine urine test and urine culture
2) Ultrasound scanning odf abdomen and pelvis.with specific mention of post void urine residue
3) Serum PSA
In the mean while continue taking medicines that you have been prescribed ..
Further treatment will be decided by concerned Urologist based on clinical findings ,results of these test and final diagnosis.
