First of all, it is important to manage acne activity so as to prevent formation of new acne spots and acne scars.

Treatment of acne is guided by the severity of acne.
Topical treatment mainly revolves around Topical Antibacterials like Clindamycin, Nadifloxacin; Topical Benzoyl Peroxide and Topical Retinoids like Adapalene, Tretinoin.
Topical antibacterials and Topical benzoyl peroxide are mainly for inflammatory acne.
Topical retinoids are effective in all grades of acne, mild to moderate and also since retinoids are comedolytic they also prevent new acne.

Oral treatment is with Oral Antibiotics like Doxycycline, Azithromycin Or Minocycline; and Oral Retinoids (Isotretinoin).
Oral antibiotics are mainly for faster and effective control of inflammatory acne whereas Oral retinoids are the most effective drugs for acne and reserved for moderate to severe grade acne; acne unresponsive to traditional antiacne medication; and acne that is scaring.
You seem to be a candidate for Oral Retinoids, since you have inflammatory acne that is resolving with scaring.

I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region for a proper assessment of the severity of your acne and appropriate treatment according to the severity.
You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your dermatologist for faster control of acne activity.
Salicylic peel is considered to be quite good for acne.

Coming to your second concern,that of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and post acne scaring. Once your acne activity is under control, a lot can be done to improve the appearance of acne spots and acne scars.

Common and simplest of these procedures being Chemical Peeling and Microdermabrasion; Glycolic peel is particularly suitable for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Glycolic peel can be either used alone Or can also be combined with alternate sessions of Micrdermabrasion.
A session is repeated once every 2 weeks.
Total number of sessions depend on the severity of problem.
