Suggest Treatment For Flushed And Swollen Face And Dryness Inside The Nose
Question: The strangest thing is going on with me. About three days ago I awoke to a very dry inside of my nose. The skin inside seemed to crack and when I would blow my nose a small chunk of thick substance came out. This is still occurring but now I also have a very flushed face and it appears to also be swollen. What could this all mean? Thank you.

I would suggest you to moisten the inside of your nose with water or normal saline drops. I would also suggest you to take some antiallergic like cetirizine once daily for a few days. The flushed and swollen appearance could be due to some localized infection but since it is within the sensitive area of the face (from where infection may spread to the brain), I would suggest you to visit a ENT doctor without delay and to get yourself checked up.
