Brief Answer:
surgery- fistula correction.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Answers and solutions for your queries.

1. 3 months old Oro-nasal fistula with active symptoms ( running nose), requires surgical interventions (fistula correction with flaps (rotational or transpositional).

2. Mean time, you can minimize nasal caterrah (nasal responsiveness with spicy diet) with steroidal nasal sprays.

3. Change your feeding habits (eating semi solid food, drink with straw, reduce the intake of spicy and pungent foods, which increases the nasal caterrh which stimulates the nasal secretions).

All the best. Take care.

Brief Answer:
recurrence-very rare.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

1. Yes. Posture is very important in preventing nasal regurgitation and nasal caterrh. You need to continue sitting posture with head upright to have liquids.

2. The rate of recurrence for hard palate ONF (oro-nasal fistula) after complete redo of hard palate is less than 5% (according to the research). It totally depends on factors like patient's immunity, surgeon's skill and surgical technique. please do not make assumptions, be positive. Everything will be alright.

3. Kindly forward your exact location details, to give you hospital details.

Take care.
