Suggest Treatment For Flu, Stomach Pain And Headaches
Question: I have flu like symptoms that started out kind of strange. Friday I had low grade temp after my evening meal that included pretty intense chills. Saturday was fine until after supper and then same thing. Sunday, same thing. Now Monday and today is not much fever & chills but head aches, stomach aches, and body aches. No energy at all. I had an insect bite on my leg, no rings, etc. I'm in N. Wisconsin.

I have gone through your query.
Now a days in practice we are seeing high grade viral fever which are taking upto 5 to 6 days to resolve.
We initially give them symptomatic treatment. If it dies not respond we ask for investigationS like complete blood pictures, Widal and peripheral smear for MP(MALARIAL PARASITES)
So I would suggest you to take plenty of fluids, keep yourself hydrated, as fever causes dehydration.
Paracetamol (dolo)650 mg thrice a day. Instead of aleve take paracetamol. And also take capsule omeprazole 20 mg once daily for three days. Some amount of pain and generalised weakness is seen with viral fever. It will reduce as fever decreases.
This fever should resolve in next 3-5 days, if persist we have to go for above mentioned tests.
