Suggest Treatment For Flea In Blood

Question: Flea eggs were laid on my scalp. I now have fleas in my blood. Dr. gave me Permethrin 5%, but will that kill the fleas or eggs in my blood. I have them coming out of my skin. What can kill the eggs and fleas in the blood? Sounds crazy, but that's what is going on. The fleas come to the skin's surface. It is plain that it is a flea. I also have tapeworm, not surprisingly.Further Information: I had a "punch biopsy" at the very back of my head near my neck. It was negative and before they had started coming to the skin's surface and before symptoms like the white rice-like things. In the scabs you can see what appears to be little black fleas. Scab may not be an accurate description. But they are definitely coming to the surface of my skin.

Brief Answer: Treatment of carpets/lawns/pet& self helps. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX The idea of being hosted by fleas, tolerating from the itches/pains due to it , must be disgusting/stressful, both psychologically as well as physically. The total thing has created a phobia in your mind resulting in your assumptions of the insect being in your blood itself. I understand your concern. * First of all let us know few flea facts. Flea is a parasite living on blood of a hot blooded animal mostly pets. The maximum number of flea species is animal species. Hardly one out of many has been recognized as human species. So probably you are infested with the one. * Life cycle of flea is 4 staged. Eggs laid by female flea-in hairs of the host. Mostly fall off in environment -to catch another host. It can wait for 2-3 days. In suitable condition-it develops in a larva It is fed on dead tissue/hairs/feces of adult flea. It forms a cover to protect it (Cocoon) Pupa-an adult flea in cocoon-(the white rice like things you observe) which breaks it when it recognizes host by nearness warmth/movements/vibrations -to thrive on host's blood. The only change it can bring about in blood is due to allergy to flea mucus. Please rest assured that- It can never blood flow in any form. * Control of fleas- -Treatment of lawn/ carpet/ pets for total removal from house. - Self treatment to be done over along period with patience. - Bath twice a day. - Comb regularly with flea comb - Use insect growth inhibitors with expert advice - Use flea repellent collars. -call professional for specific treatments. * Take psychological counseling & be positive & persistent in treatment. I feel this answer has removed your misunderstandings /given you courage & means to get rid of fleas. Any further query is welcome. Thanks.
