Question: Hello, My Daughter is suffering from fibril convulsions, since the age of 1 year and 6 months now she is 5 years old. The last seizure attack was at exactly 5 years and 4 days of age. It was lasted for almost 3 minutes with tingling of Right hand,closing her eyes and biting her teeth. Then our pediatric doctor suggested us for the EEG. We have took her for the EEG on 22/08/2015 and consulted the neurologist. As per the neurologist its a Abnormal EEG showing Rt c4 f4, FP2 f4 and f8 with c4 reversed and its a Generalized spike. And suggested us to go for MRI scan. The drug of the choice is XXXXXXX pill Syrup with 2ml twice a day for 2 years. My confusion is does convulsion with fever is considered as a Epilepsy?. Does XXXXXXX Pill has any side effects. Why the fibril convulsion with fever considered as a epilepsy?. My child will only have convulsions if she has only high fever. Please advice

These are the answer's for the questions which you have asked for.

1. How many time has she had these febrile convulsions till now?
4 times so far, since her age is 1 year and 6 months

2. Can you quote the ages at which she had these convulsions (all till now - like for example 1year 6 months 1st convulsion, 2 years 2nd convulsion like that?
1st= 1y and 6 months, 2= 2y and 3 months, 3=4year and 6 month 4=5 years (if she has a high fever which is < 38 centigrade.

3. How is the attaining of developmental milestones (very very important information)?
She is good in studies, attaining very good mail stones.

4. Does anybody in the family have seizure disorder or febrile convulsions?'
Yes, her maternal Aunts had the same issue in their childhood

5. Till now have you been on any regular daily medications for seizures or febrile seizures?
If she is having fever then she would be given 5mg of presium tablet,then she will not have convulsion but if forget then if the temperature increases above 38 then she will have convulsions.

After EEG neurologist suggested us to have levipill syrup 2ml twice a day (started on 22/8/2015).

6. I would like to know if you can upload the MRI report (Not images)?
No MRI has taken yet. Waiting for 1 month with the medicine as, suggested by doctor.

Please answer my last question about taking XXXXXXX pill is any side effects?.
