Question: My husband has been suffering from the following symptoms since Wednesday. On Wednesday he started throwing up for two days solid, had a fever,headache, body aches, chills, severe stomach cramps and could not even keep down water. On Friday fever and headache continued along with severe stomach cramps that he thought were do to gas. He took a gas reliever and that lasted for a day with his abdomen still very sore and him still sleeping 90% of the day. On Saturday he started with diarrhea. this has continued and still continues regardless of the medications the doctor at med-assist prescribed him along with the severe stomach cramps. He says his stools are pure liquid. He has been drinking Gatorade, water and seven up. He eats very little, but has started to eat. He has lost approximately 10 pounds in this time frame and the new symptoms still continue.

It seems that your husband is having acute infectious enteritis for which he requires a course of antibiotics like ofloxacin and ornidazole along with some pre and probiotic. Also keep his hydration level well by giving lots of fluids in his diet. For pain may take some antispasmodic like drotavarine.
