Brief Answer:
There is no need to be worried

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking on HCM!
I am Klerida Shehu gastroenterologist and I am glad to assist you further.
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:

1. You are reporting to have been diagnosed with fatty liver on November.
Fatty liver is a condition where there is too much fatty tissue on the liver more than 10% of the organ weight.

2.The main causes of fatty liver are:
- alcohol use
- diabetes as in your case
- High level of cholesterol and triglyceride
- obesity

3. With regards to the fact how serious it is , I can say that it depends on it's stage and if you have high level of transaminases like AST and ALT.
Don't worry there is no need for a immediate consult with a gastroenterologist.

4.Meantime I suggest to :
- use sylimarine
- use vit E as an excellent liver antioxidant
- try to control blood sugar level
- increase physical activity
- avoid fatty foods
- use only fish and chicken meat ( twice per week)
- try to loose weight if you are overweight
- stop alcohol use
