Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Light consists of different colors with the rays of light focusing on one single point giving us a single view of light so we cant distinguish the different colors.

Based on your description, your wife is having scattering of light on the cornea or lens due to possible cataracts. The eyes need to be examined by an ophthalmologist for this purpose and managed accordingly.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
