Brief Answer:
These are floaters and occur because of age related degeneration.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir
Welcome to Health care Magic

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.

The symptoms mentioned by you indicate floaters and these occur because of age related degeneration occurring in the vitreous. Vitreous is a gel like structure which fills the posterior part of the eye and lies between lens and the retina.

Because of age related changes it undergoes degeneration resulting in floaters. These complaints are common in people after the age of 60 years.

No need to be worried about them as they are harmless and no treatment is required for it also.

You need to consult your doctor for examination if you notice sudden increase in these floaters or there is association of flickering of light like sensation called as flashes.

Otherwise no need to be worried.

Hope this answers your question.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
