Question: dear doctors ,

PLEURO EFFUSION

I am in the undergone treatment of pleuro effusion ..once after getting cleared from ultrasound and Citi scan that there is pleuro effusion in my lungs layer and doctor confirmed that its an extra pulmonary tuberculosis as per your symptom..now I have done with tuberculosis 7 month medication treatment but still I am getting bit pain at the time of yoning ..my question is that is it normal symptom either Its an concern..As now a days I am taking R CINEX 600 MG WITH BENADON 40 MG HALF TAB for the next two month I will be taking the same for complete medical course.

Thanks for posting your query.

That is normal as during pleural effusion there would have occurred some inflammation to the pleura ( Lung covering ) . It doesn't indicate any persistence of the disease.

I would advice a repeat Ultrasound or CT to confirm that pleural effusion is completely cleared. You can get this done just few days before you complete your course of medicines.
