Suggest Treatment For Excessive Sweating, Chronic Back And Stabbing Lower Abdominal Pain

default
Posted on Wed, 9 Dec 2015
Question: Hello,
my problem started sometime ago, I suffer from chronic back pain, caused by a prolapse disc, so I drank spirits a little too much for a couple of years. I started experiencing a stabbing pain in my lower abdomen after I had a drink and also realised that my urine was dark yellow in colour and smells very bad. I drank a lot of water daily but within 4 hours my urine would go back to being dark yellow and smelly and remains that way presently. I went to the GP got urine tested but it was normal. The past six months I have developed an excessive sweating problem and my sweat is oily, smelly and thick. I also get an acid taste in my mouth at times. when I wake up in the morning my breath smells like sewage and the inner lining of my mouth strip away when I use my finger to scrape it.
This sweating occurs all over my body and especially at the creases. the volume of sweat is not too bad but he smell is horrible. it sometimes smells like poo but most times has a strong smell of ammonia and bleach.
I have tried with my gp and gone through the self help and tried Aluminium chloride under my armpits. I am now left to my own devise. This smell is overpowering and has cause me to lock myself away now as it is very embarrassing. I am a mature student in my second year at university but I haven't being for over four weeks now as nobody want to sit beside me in a lecture and talk and gossip about my condition.
I tried explaining all about this to my GP but because the smell is so bad, he rarely take time to listen as he want me out as quick as possible. Hence why I am here looking for help.
I have researched this daily as it is all I can think about and cant concentrate on anything else, I am wondering if this might be related to liver or kidney functions or Fish odour Syndrome.
Please help me to get my life back.
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your query.
I do understand your concern, and it is a very irritating problem.
There can be some medical issues like diabetes, hyperthyroidism, liver or kidney disease which can lead to excess sweat and body odour.
I would suggest you to Wash your body regularly with antibacterial soaps. Put more importance in groin, armpit etc. Shave axillary or pubic hair. This will not allow accumulation of sweat in these areas. Continue using antiperspirants containing aluminium chloride. These are very effective. Wear clean light clothes so that you sweat less.
I will suggest you get blood for sugar, liver function, thyroid profile, urea and creatinine done. It will help in underlying cause. You can ask your local physician regarding the tests.
Hope this helps.
I'll be glad to address your further questions.
Take care.
