Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Dec 2016
Question: During the last six months, perhaps longer, my erection has decreased in size (atrophied?) by at least 1/2. This is causing my wife and me considerable distress. Where do I go for help. My very find family doctor is not dealing with this very well. Because I am 78 years old he shrugs this off as typical of old age. I am active and fit and my wife and I would like to find a solution if at all possible.

Brief Answer:
You can try Cialis

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you are facing problem of Erectile Dysfunction since last 6 months .

As the age advances sexual potency of man gradually gets reduced due to following two factors
1) There is a diminished production of Testosterone by testicles by one % for every year This hormone is the key factor in maintaining sexual potency of a man
2) With advancing age there is generalized atherosclerosis which also involves Penile Artery which supplies arterial blood to erectile tissue in penis This reduced blood flow to erectile tissue is the prime factor causing ED at old age .

So it is natural to have erection problems after the age of 65-70 years

Taking Sildenafil (Viagra) or Cialis as on demand may help to get good hard sustainable erection and to have enjoyable sex.

If it fails to get results and yo are very much keen to have sex the only option to get erection is a surgery of to put penile implant prosthesis .

Consult qualified Urologist for evaluation and further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Dr. Patil: Thank you for your quick answer. I take a generic form of Viagra and it works perfectly well. The problem I am having is that when erect my erection is now about half the size it was or even less. This makes have sex with my wife difficult. I can certainly understand ED being caused by poor blood flow but I can't understand why the size of my erection is now so diminished.

Brief Answer:
This is due to reduced blood flow to Erectile tissue

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up
The flaccid erection that you get is due to reduced blood flow to erectile tissue as explained in my earlier reply .

This can be confirmed by test called Color Doppler Ultrasound Scanning of Penis ...
.You can increase the dose of Viagra.

Thanks and Regards.

I just want to make sure you understand what I am saying. The ED medication creates a very firm erection -- that is not my problem. My problem is this -- in my opinion -- remarkable reduction in the length of my erection which creates a problem for my wife and i in having loving sex.

Hope I'm not being a pain here but I am really searching for some solid answers.

Brief Answer:
It is the hardness of the penis that is important than length of the penis

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

Female vagina on arousal is adequate to accommodate a hard erected penis of 4 inches in length without any pain (Hard penis of 4 inches in length is adequate for penetrative and enjoyable sex) ..

I would be happy if you provide me few more details
1) Are you able to penetrate vagina ?
2) Does your wife get pain while penetrating ?
3) Does her vagina well lubricated ?.

The problem that your wife has may be due to Senile Atrophy and inadequate lubrication of vagina making sex painful .

Thanks and Regards.
