Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been diagnosed to have epididymitis and taking antibiotics .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem
1)Have you been prescribed anti inflammatory medications along with antibiotics.?
2)Have you done urine culture to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please get your urine culture done and take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report along with anti inflammatory medicines like Diclofenac and Serropeptidase twice daily .

Ensure to drink ore water.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me I shall be happy to help you .

Hallo, thank you for your reply.

Regarding your questions, i have been prescribed inflammatory medication and i take such pills everyday

Regarding urine culture i had given urine for this test and finally after 5 days they told me that it was negative.

I'm a little bit nervous because when i started the medication I saw really huge improvement which lasted only for the first two days. After that the problem turned back again. And i'm wondering if the cause is that it ciproxin needs more time to fight the infection or if the infection is resistant to the ciproxin.

In any way the other problem is that I currenyly live far from my family and i read everywhere that this decease always comes from sexual transmitted deceases. However i didn't do anything with another sexual partner and i'm really thinking what I'm going to tell to my wife....

In general do you have to reccomend any additional medication that I should take?

Brief Answer:
It is common to have ups and down in symptoms (pain).

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for feedback and follow up.
It is very common to have pain free days followed by pain during treatment of Epididymitis.
Please have patience it will definitely get cured with antibiotics and medications which I have suggested in my reply earlier.

It is not necessary that Epididymis is transmitted only through sexual contacts .One can even get it due to concentrated urine and unnoticed mild UTI .

Thanks and Regards.

Thank you for all the replies.

I have some further questions:
During the weekend I will be with my family. Is it dangerous or harmful to make love with my wife? Just to let you know that we never use protective measures (condom etc.)

The second question is, since the urine culture was negative what further tests should be done in order to identify which bacteria is causing the infection? I'm asking that in case that this antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) do not finally work or it is resistant to the bacteria.

The third question is for how many days is it safe to take Anti-inflammatory medication. As far as i know these kind of medication can be harmful for the liver. Is it correct or not?

Last question is regarding ciprofloxacin. What do I have to take care when i take this medication?? I know that i should not eat yogurt, milk etc. How about alcohol? Is it anything else I should avoid ?

Thanks in advance again

Brief Answer:
Read detail answers below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up.
1) It is better to have safe and protected sex to avoid infection being transmitted to your wife and for you too if you still have pain .

2)If there is no satisfactory relief with Ciprofloxacin you may get Semen culture done to trace out organisms causing infection and sensitivity pattern.

3)One can take anti inflammatory medications for 2-3 weeks. It is harmful to liver if taken for long period of months .

4) Take antacids like Pantaprazole with Ciprofloxacin twice daily. There is no harm in taking milk and yogurt.Avoid alcohol as far as you can.

Thanks and Regards.
