Question: I've noticed a very hard knot almost as hard as a bone in my neck near the thyroid gland. I circled about where in the picture attached. what could this be?

Hard knot in this area can be a lymph node. Lymph nodes are usually hard, rounded and movable. Especially if are enlarged due to inflammation.
However sometimes, if a lymph node is hard and not movable, cancer should be ruled out.

It is strongly recommended for you to consult your doctor and have thyroid and lymph nodes ultrasound.
