Brief Answer:
Consult a medical gastroenterologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Raised SGOT and SGPT indicates a sick liver. The normal levels are SGOT(5-40) and SGPT(7-56)units per liter of serum. They are the most sensitive markers of liver damage.

It can be due to transient raise after intake of some medicines, alcohol ingestion, a passed gallstone, or chronic cases like muscle damage or viral infections like hepatitis A, B or C.

I would suggest you to meet your family doctor or medical gastroenterologist for further examination and treatment.

I hope this answered your query.
